CASE STUDIES

Industrial project work, documented from measured conditions.

Case Studies show the project condition, Creative GOAT’s defined role, the delivered information and the evidence available at the documented project boundary.

REALITY CAPTURE + 3D COORDINATION  | NORTHERN ONTARIO GOLD MILLTHE PIPE WAS BLOCKED.
THE BIGGER PROBLEM WAS RECOVERABILITY.

At a Northern Ontario gold mill, sections of a lime-slurry distribution network were blocked and no longer practical to recover through routine cleaning. A like-for-like replacement risked carrying the same circulation, isolation and maintenance limitations forward.

As the work evolved to serve multiple process destinations, Creative GOAT used 3D laser scanning to capture measured conditions and coordinate multiple routes around existing structure, equipment, services and access. The point cloud was only the starting point.

Inside the full case study: measured-condition overlays, the coordinated model, the recovery provisions documented in the package and a five-question replacement decision test.

MODEL-TO-MODEL SCOPE RECONCILIATION | NORTHERN ONTARIO GOLD MILLWHY PIPE FOOTAGE
TOLD ONLY PART
OF THE STORY.

In the aggregate current model, total straight-pipe length increased 38.3%. Selected component, connection, cable-tray and support quantities increased 155.0% to 475.4%.

Straight-pipe footage described route length. The model and drawing-BOM quantities described the components, connections and supporting infrastructure that had multiplied around it.

How much did the system change when examined through its components, connections and supporting infrastructure—not only its straight-pipe length?
